Attention all Local Officials:
On Tuesday, May 20th PSCOA will hold its first annual Sporting Clays Tournament to benefit the Bobby Wilt Foundation! The tournament will be held at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs Pennsylvania.
What is sporting clays?
“Patience, precision but mostly exhilaration! Often times described as “golf with a shotgun.” Unlike trap and skeet, sporting clays targets are thrown in a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations and distances, which simulates actual hunting conditions. There are shooting pros on the course to help give advice to anyone needing help. Some of these guys are the best shooters in Pennsylvania!”
How you can help
Just like the annual golf tournament, PSCOA and the Board Members of the Foundation rely heavily on each Local to promote and spread the word. Our goal is to see that each local sponsor and send at least one team to represent your local. For some this might be a far travel, so if you are unable to send a team you can always help by donating. We will be sure that a sign is placed on the course in recognition of your donation.
The Bobby Wilt Foundation
The BWF is a non-profit 401c foundation formed to honor the memory of Bobby Wilt, a fallen Corrections Officer at SCI Huntingdon. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide monetary support to PSCOA’s H-1 members and their families in need.
Throughout our lives we can be faced with life altering events such as fires, accidents and illnesses that are not covered completely by insurance. It is those incidents that the Foundation would like to provide assistance to our members and their families.
