PSCOA & The Bobby Wilt Foundation 2nd Annual Sporting Clay Tournament
On May 19, 2015 the second annual sporting clays tournament was held to benefit PSCOA’s Bobby Wilt Foundation. The tournament was held again at the beautiful Seven Springs Mountain Resort located in Seven Springs, Pennsylvania. Rated one of the best facilities in the country, N.S.C.A. Level III Instructor, Mike Mohr meticulously designed two challenging courses and a sub-gauge course that take advantage of the natural beauty of the surrounding Laurel Highlands. The weather was a little overcast; however, the tournament went off without a hitch. We had a successful turnout of 120 shooters (double from the first year) from various PSCOA locals, PSCOA Executive Officers, PSCOA Business Agents, attorneys from LWS and the Bobby Wilt Foundation Members.
Awards were given to the 1st & 2nd place squads, overall best shooter, the second best shooter, most honest shooter, the 1st & 2nd place winners of the 15 target 5 stand competition & additional stand this year, two man flush. All shooters received an entry gift, our exclusive Bobby Wilt Foundation camouflage knife and some received door prizes at registration so no one went home empty handed.
$1,250 was raised thanks to our proud sponsors. During the tournament the Foundation members raised $1345 in 50/50 ticket sales and the 15 target 5 stand competition. The winner of the 50/50 drawing was John Pribelsky from local SI Somerset.
The Foundation can proudly say once again this was an overall success and hopes that we continue to spread the word of mouth throughout our membership.
