Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association Retired Membership
Guidelines
The Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association recognizes that there
are many members dedicated to this organization and what it stands for. The
PSCOA recognizes that many current members want to stay involved with the
association once they retire. Therefore, as gratitude to those members so
dedicated, we have formed the Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers
Association Retired Membership Chapter.
The following are guidelines for the PSCOA membership
who want to stay involved with the association after retirement from the DOC:
- The initial cost of
membership will be $25 per year. This will include the opportunity to obtain
or retain the PSCOA organizational license plate. It will also include a
membership card, organizational patch and newsletter mailings. Eventually
the PSCOA should have hats, shirts, stickers and other merchandise that
specify a retired member.
- As the organization
grows, hopefully the benefits to retirees will also. There may be
opportunity for supplemental health care such as eyeglasses or dental. There
may eventually be life insurance or disability insurance. The annual
membership fee will probably increase should these benefits be provided.
- Those eligible to be
part of the retired membership must have been a PSCOA member in good
standing for two years prior to retirement.
- PSCOA retirees are not
eligible to vote in any PSCOA state or local election, or to hold office at
the state or local level.
- PSCOA retirees are
eligible to attend and participate in PSCOA functions such as baseball
games, golf outings and barbeques.
- Applications will be
available to PSCOA members at retirement.
- It should be noted that
the information above are just guidelines, and may be changed at anytime by
the PSCOA State Executive Board.

Retired Chapter, please contact your business agent
